PFP started with two friends, Brodie and Jordan. I wanted to give them picks that were actually good, and I wanted them to be able to check every single one.
I've never used a pick service. I never trusted one enough to try, because there was never a way to check them.
So the rule came before any model: everything public, from the start. Every pick posted before the game. Every loss left on the record. Every model, even the ones that fail.
I'm not a pro bettor or a quant. I work in ophthalmology. I wanted to know if a model could really beat the market, and the only honest way to find out was in front of everyone.
It started for two friends. Now it's for anyone who wants to check the work.
When I'm not doing this, I'm out to eat with my wife and son, or playing way too many hero shooters.
