Who is racing

Everyone on the board posts picks in public before puck drop. We record the DraftKings price at the time of the post and grade it against the DraftKings close. The bar is the close. The won-lost record is for reference.

How grading works

• 1DraftKings price when you post vs DraftKings close. Raw prices, no vig removed, on the side you picked.
• 2No DraftKings price within an hour either side of your post = not graded. It is counted and shown with that reason.
• 3A line DraftKings does not offer = not graded. A total is graded at your line or not at all. The one exception is a whole-number NHL total, which is priced from the lines around it (house rule 10).
• 4A tie means the price did not move. Ties are counted in their own column, not as beats.
• 5Everything posted counts. Edits do not. Deleted picks still count. The first capture of a post is final.

How to post your picks

The bot reads your post as plain text. Keep each pick on its own line and it reads all of them. Follow the five lines below and you never have to read the rules.

• 1One pick per line. Nothing else on the line. Two picks on one line are not read.
• 2Put the league on its own line, above its picks. "NHL" or "NHL plays" both work. Do not write it in front of a pick: "NHL MTL ML -195" is not read. Other sports are fine in the same post as long as each one has its own line above it: we read the NHL section and skip the rest. Without a league line, abbreviations still count, but team names in words need NHL in the post.
• 3Team, then market, then price. The price is optional. We grade on the DraftKings price near your post, not on the price you write.
• 4Bullets and numbering are fine. Extra words are not. "- MTL ML -195" and "1. MTL ML -195" are both read. "lock of the night" after the pick is not. "1u", "novig" and a book name are fine.
• 5Post before the puck drops. A pick counts from the moment you post it. Nothing is ever backdated, and an edit after you post is ignored.

Codes, nicknames, cities and full names all count: MTL, Habs, Montreal and Montreal Canadiens are one team. Totals can be written "u6", "under 6" or "under 6.5". Puck lines are +1.5 and -1.5 only.

• --Parlays, ladders and legs. Post them on their own. One parlay word can leave every pick in that post ungraded.
• --Props. Player and team props are not read.
• --Alt puck lines. -2.5 and the rest are not graded. Only +1.5 and -1.5 are.
• --Other sports. The bot reads NHL picks. A spread in another sport is not read.
• --Edits after posting. The first read of your post is final.

House rules

• 0Independence. Nobody can pay us to be graded, change a grade, or get removed. Paid tools never change a number.
• 1Both sides cancel. Post both sides of the same game and market and both picks are void: counted, shown, never graded.
• 2Daily cap. An entrant with a daily cap has picks past it marked over cap: counted, shown, never graded.
• 3Edits and deletions. The first capture of a post is final. An edit after capture is ignored. A deleted pick stays on the record and is flagged.
• 4Retiring. You can stop at any time. No new picks are read. Your record stays on the board, muted, with the date.
• 5Disputes. Think a grade is wrong? Use the dispute form. Fixes are posted as dated corrections, never silent edits.
• 6DraftKings pricing. Everyone is graded on DraftKings prices. If you bet an exchange or another book, your real price may be better than the grade shows.
• 7One live model. One live model per builder. Any change is a new version: post "v2: what changed" before its first pick.
• 8New versions. A new version starts at midnight New York time. Your old version freezes and stays on the board.
• 9Version limits. A new version needs 25 graded picks on the current one, and you get up to 3 versions per season.
• 10Whole-number NHL totals. Rule change, 2026-10-17: Whole-number NHL totals (like over 6) are now graded. DraftKings rarely offers those lines, so we price them from the two lines around them (5.5 and 6.5) on the same DraftKings page, with the vig removed, using The Odds API. A game that lands exactly on the number is a push and does not count. Picks posted before this date stay not graded. These rows are graded from The Odds API's DraftKings prices, not our usual price feed, and the pick log says so.

• 11Cappers are graded the same way as builders: the DraftKings price when the pick was posted, against the DraftKings close.
• 12Straight NHL picks only. Parlays, ladders and props are not graded.
• 13Grading is not an endorsement. We do not sell or recommend anyone's picks.
• 14A capper can stop anytime. Graded picks stay up, marked retired.
• 15Team names. Rule change, 2026-10-19: You can write team names or abbreviations, so "Wild ml" and "MIN ml" both count, and city names and short forms (Leafs, Habs, Caps, Pens, Bolts, Canes, Sens, Isles) are read too. A post has to say NHL to count. A post that names another league as well, or names no league at all, is not read. Spreads other than the puck line, and parlays, are not graded. Picks posted before this date are read the old way.
• 16Puck lines. Rule change, 2026-10-20: NHL puck lines (+1.5 / -1.5) are graded on the DraftKings puck line at the same number, like a moneyline. Overtime and shootout goals count. Alt puck lines and other spreads are not graded.
• 17Builders: puck lines and team names. Rule change, 2026-10-20: Builders can now post NHL puck lines and write team names. A puck line like MTL -1.5 is graded on the DraftKings puck line at the same number, like a moneyline. Team names and short forms like Habs count when the post says NHL. Abbreviations always count. Totals can be written COL/PHI under 6 or COL/PHI u6. Alt puck lines like -2.5 are not graded.
• 18One posting standard. Rule change, 2026-10-20: Builders and cappers are read the same way. Mixed-sport posts work: put each league on its own line, and we read the NHL section and skip the rest. Bullets and numbering are fine. A total written with spaces, like Blues / Jets under 6.5, is read as one pick. Picks posted before this date are read the old way.

• 19Short links. Graded entrants pick a permanent short link (pixelforgeplays.com/b/yourname). Lowercase, first come first served, never reused or changed.

Rule changes

Every change to how builders and cappers are graded or counted is dated here when it ships. Nothing changes silently.
